About Us

ASSOCIATION OF FOOD INGREDIENTS & IMPROVERS MANUFACTURERS (GIDABIL) was founded in October 2000 with 11 representatives from 8 companies as founding members, to unite the industrialists producing food additives, formulas and other ingredients that are used in the production of all sorts of food products, together with the industrialists in foreign countries who operate in a similar line of business and/or their Turkish partners, subsidiaries or representatives under a single roof to enhance the collaboration and support among its member industrialists, enhance networking capabilities and to facilitate communication with the users of additives and ingredients as well as the end consumer in order to make them informed about these products and to assist them in knowing and using the products.

GIDABİL continues its operations with 43 members, as representatives of 35 companies, and holds compliance to legal requirements of the current food regulation as priority in its works in collaboration and compliance with the Turkish Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock as the relevant authority in this line of business. In this respect GIDABİL has taken part in the preparation and amendment of many of the published Codexes regarding food additives, and has taken action at the Ministry level and other related authorities against illegal producers, and regarding financial matters.
